Collaborating with the Axios HQ team, we increased YoY paid leads to Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) by +69.73%. This is attributed to a couple of tactics within our set strategy. First, we integrated OCT conversion tracking and optimized that data into our Google ads and LinkedIn account.
From there, we optimized our campaigns to focus on SQLs & Opportunities data and inform the auction algorithm to prioritize targeting users within our set parameters. This led to more efficient spend, putting more emphasis behind quality vs. quantity, and opened up more opportunities to leverage our marketing budget.
Further, with the goal of introducing new users to the AxiosHQ brand, we pivoted 30% of our spend to upper funnel initiatives including discovery, messaging, and video ads, while holding the market with stated efficiencies. This led to increasing new users and engaged sessions, and a +33.04% conversion rate on site to fuel our funnel growth.Implementing updated and streamlined account structure holds its weight in gold. This heavy duty parts retailer held the majority of its market, but wasted ad spend kept it from scaling performance sustainably. Collaborating with the HDP team, we executed a more efficient shopping account structure, segmenting products by brand and type to push excess spend on high performing products to other areas of the business. This unlocking of potential only served to capture more of the heavy duty parts market and place the brand as the biggest (and most trusted) name in the industry.
Utilizing Google's Performance Max campaign-type, standard shopping campaigns, and retargeting for search ads, we guaranteed a 90% share of SERP and solidified customer retention through email drip campaigns and optimizing our data lists. This directly led to an increased in captured revenue and resulting net profit, allowing the business to invest more into marketing and advertising.
Having more detailed data equates to more precise marketing decision making. In this case, we had a large hub of 1st and 2nd party data collected from the business's own users, as well as paid data sets from the industry. We set up a reporting structure via the client's CRM and mapped out historical campaigns by performance on MQLs, SQLs, and Qualified Opps. as they related to overall business objectives.
Then, we optimized each of those campaigns, whether by updating targeting with our data sets, or by pausing the initiative to reinvest that spend into more productive inputs for the bottom line.
This type of attribution approach paired with employing our data sets for optimized targeting led to a more efficient output. Quantity in low-quality leads decreased, while high-quality leads increased given that our spend was now aimed at precise data intelligence, leading to an increase in deals overall.
